America at 250: Celebrating Freedom, Service & Unity
Celebrating 250 Years of Independence!
Today, America marks an extraordinary milestone—250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As we celebrate this historic anniversary, we honor the vision, courage, and determination of those who laid the foundation for our nation, while recognizing the generations of Americans who have helped shape its future.
Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth
This Semiquincentennial is more than a celebration of our past—it's a reminder that the strength of America has always been found in the people who serve, lead, innovate, and support one another.
As we reflect on 250 years of freedom, we extend our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, veterans, first responders, and all who continue to protect the values that unite us.
At the Health & Voluntary Benefits Association®, we're equally grateful for the community of employers, advisors, carriers, TPAs, solution providers, and industry leaders who work every day to improve the health, financial security, and well-being of millions of Americans. Your partnership helps strengthen workplaces, families, and communities across the country.
Check out this short video featuring two WWII veterans from Houston, 97-year-old Joseph Sperandio and 95-year-old Richard Chaltry. Their shared stories of service, sacrifice, and enduring friendship remind us of the true meaning of courage and camaraderie that we celebrate on this special day.
Honoring Those Who Have ServedHVBA’s Philanthropic Partner, Trinity Oaks, knows the value of the sacrifice our veterans have made and dedicates their efforts to offering programs designed just for them. Visit their website here. | ![]() |
Trinity Oaks is dedicated to serving veterans through transformative outdoor experiences that promote healing, purpose, and connection. This Independence Day—and throughout America's 250th year—we encourage you to join us in recognizing the extraordinary sacrifices made by those who have defended our nation's freedoms.
As fireworks light the sky, may we also celebrate the enduring spirit of service, unity, and hope that has defined America for two and a half centuries.
From all of us at the Health & Voluntary Benefits Association®, thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Happy Independence Day—and Happy 250th Birthday, America!
Enjoy a safe and memorable holiday with family and friends.
Your friends at the Health & Voluntary Benefits Association®
